Eco Couture

Jessica’s Eco Couture brings together love of haute couture with care and responsibility for the planet, and human rights. The majority of her collection is made with organic luxury blend fabrics such as heavy weight hempsilk satin, which is a blend of raw silk and hemp, shantung (doupioni, raw silk), and duchess satin. The designer also has a collection for expecting, earth friendly brides.

To see her entire collection visit Jessica Iverson’s site, and those expecting brides go to Maternity Bride.

I found these romantic fragrances for the body, linens and stationery by C. Marie Signatures. I love how they have coordinated each fragrance with the notecards motif. See their entire collection online at www.cmariesignatures.com.

E-vites!

Save money and trees! Instead of printing invitations for the events leading to “The Big Day”, like the bachelorette party, and rehearsal dinner, opt for sending online invites like the ones in www.evite.com. This site allows you to choose and personalize a pre-made template or if you feel up to the challenge design your own. Hey, you could even match your wedding colors and motifs!

The save the date!

Receiving a Save-the-Date notification is so special if you think about it. It shows someone you know that you hold them dear and deems it important that they be there for your special occasion. It’s a kind gesture, letting them know well in advance so they have time to make arrangements and do their best to attend (especially important for holiday weekends or in locales with ‘busy seasons’). When it comes to sending out your Save-the-dates, remember, they are the first impression your guests will get of your par-tay… they’ll shape the mood and get your guests excited.

The absolute instant you’ve set the date and locale, save-the-date cards should be ordered and sent out, ideally six months ahead. The invitation, which should arrive six to eight weeks before the actual date, will act as a refresher. By then, a lot of your guests will have most of their plans already set for your event.

Check out these save-the-date cards from our collection.
