As I was browsing InStyle Weddings, I came across the wedding of the Beverly Hills Chihuahua actress Ali Hillis. The beautiful event was captured by the California-based photographer Cameron Ingalls.

Beautiful parasols
In lieu of rice, guests tossed white rose petals (biodegradable!).
At the reception, the couple seated guests at three long feasting tables adorned with silk runners hand-sewn by the bride's aunt, as well as square vases filled with dendrobium orchids by Pismo Beach Florist.
The crafty bride used a paint pen to decorate rocks with romantic words like "destiny."
The couple gave each guest a personalized note tucked into a recycled glass bottle.

Beautiful wedding! I love the idea of tossing rose petals- I’d heard that rice is a bad idea for birds, but I’d never heard of petals as an alternative.

Hi Kirsten! I’ve heard about blowing bubbles, as well as releasing butterflies but never petals either. For some reason, it adds such a delicate touch to this tradition.
